Disaster Recovery
Can we prioritize which data is restored
in the event of a disaster?
Yes. You can select easily which files/directories/servers you
wish to restore. There is no need to restore non-essential data
until a later time if desired.
What happens if the Rapid Recovery
DS-Client Application computer and/or the whole site is lost?
ebackup can interact closely with your disaster recovery plan,
providing a portable unit with data storage, holding your encrypted
data and transporting that data to a new Rapid
Recovery DS-Client Application Server to any required
site either local or international, as arranged with ebackup Inc.
This new site may even be the site of your disaster recovery company.
This combination of our portable data and your new Rapid
Recovery DS-Client Application computer can enable LAN
speed restores to reconstruct servers and workstations.
Can we perform a test rebuild
of the Rapid Recovery DS-Client Application and data restore?
Yes, we recommed recovery testing at least quarterly
and doing a test rebuild of the Rapid Recovery application can
be
done
as well. It is important to do it in a test environment so it
does not interrupt your regular backup schedules. Testing can
be part of your value added service contract for online and telephone
support. (see price lists)
