Privacy statement

ebackup Inc. will not sell, rent or disclose any customer information to third parties.

We may, at times, use your IP address to help diagnose problems with the connected server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is used to help identify you and to backup your files. We use cookies in order to track "rapid recovery" installs and their origin. There is no consequence to a user that sets their browser to reject cookies. Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name, postal/zip code and e-mail address). We use customer contact information from the registration form to send the user information about our company. This site may contain links to other sites. ebackup Inc. is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other Web sites.

Our website/software uses a registration form for customers to activate their service. We collect subscribers contact information (like their e-mail addresses) and may collect financial information (like their credit card numbers). Contact information from the registration form is used to send information about our company to our customers/subscribers. The customer's contact information is also to inform the customer they have protected their files and/or we need to update the customer on the service. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the customer/subscriber for products and services.

online data privacy

ebackup operates a secure Computer Data Center to retain customer online storage/backup data. Each customer’s online data is fully encrypted at all times with a key code generated by the customer and nobody, even ebackup staff, can access that customer data.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Once the "rapid recovery" product is installed, all data is encrypted (with AES standard encryption) on your PC or Server before it is transmitted to the ebackup Data Center. ebackup employs the most sophisticated security measures available and uses the encryption technology that in many cases is better than most banks and the Government. Employees do not have access, nor are they able to read customer files. All employees sign a security policy and practices agreement as well as a confidentiality agreement. Access to data is limited only to e-mail addresses, contact and billing information. Web security is continually reviewed by ebackup.
